Welcome to 14th January and the 14th Day of 2023. Our Topic for today is 4 HEALTH AREAS YOU NEED TO PAY MAXIMUM ATTENTION TO DAILY.
Joyce Meyer once said; “I believe that the greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you.” Health is wealth and without it, nothing tangible gets done, no plans get executed, no journey gets undertaken, no dreams get fulfilled and certainly no life gets well lived.
Today we are looking at 4 health areas that you need to be paying attention to everyday of your life not in a day, occasionally or rarely. These 4 critical health areas need to be examined, improved and maintained every day.
1. PHYSICAL HEALTH – If you have never been sick before, you don’t really get to appreciate the value of a good health. Taking care of our physical health is critical to our existence, vitality, energy, dreams, ambition, goals and everything else we want to do, achieve or become.
When one gets sick, almost everything comes to a halt especially if contingency plans are not in place. Maintaining or improving your physical health requires a combination of exercises, healthy diet, good sleep, avoiding junk food, regular health checkups, avoiding sitting for too long, moderate or no alcohol intake and so on.
2. MENTAL HEALTH – Personally, I believe the greatest tragedy in life is for one to lose their mind. Being alive and not in control of ones mind is such an unfortunate situation for anyone to be in.
Mental health is the ability to think clearly, make good decisions and cope with stress. A lot of people are actually experiencing various forms of mental health issues who have not necessarily gone mad. From clinical depression to mood, anxiety, personality and psychotic disorders to several mental health issues that need to be paid attention to daily.
3. EMOTIONAL HEALTH: Emotional health is the ability to cope with and manage emotions. Varied conditions affect our moods, thinking and behaviour and without effective ways of dealing with these, one can experience emotional health issues including but not limited to depression, sadness, worry, loneliness, anxiety, low self-esteem and low self-acceptance.
4. FINANCIAL HEALTH: One of the fastest ways of feeling sick is being broke and not knowing where your next meal is coming from. It is the most effective way of finding out the truth about the saying; money is blood. In the absence of money; one feels depressed, sad, anxious, angry and like a failure.
Financial health is the current state of your monetary situation, such as your credit, debt, savings, investments and income. Paying attention to how you make money, save money, invest money and spend money is critical to your financial health and one that you should consistently be improving.
So there you have it, 4 critical health areas that you need to be paying attention to everyday of your life.
Enjoy your Saturday and spend time outside with people you love who make you happy.
