There may be many ways to succeed in business but one way that I have personally encountered and accepted as the surest way to succeed in business is to GENUINELY LOVE your clients and be CONSISTENTLY passionate about serving them, meeting their needs, solving their problems, and making them very happy.
To succeed in business, you need to ensure that the love and devotion you have for and to your clients far supersedes the love you have and dedication you give to your ideas, products, services, and business itself.
My biggest challenge as an Entrepreneur has been how excited I get about new ideas, how energized I get about bringing those ideas to life and how passionate I am about building my brands. These developed into habits that eventually drove most of the clients away because of the perception it created that I am too busy and as such do not have time to serve their needs.
In fact, it was more than just a perception because I truly did enjoy working on my own ideas more than working on other people’s ideas and needs but the more I did that, the less money we made and the more challenging running a business became.
Our decision to refocus our attention from ourselves onto clients was the turnaround of our business. Honestly, it is not easy to serve clients, especially those that do not pay much but as long as you take their money, which you had a choice to reject, you are obligated not only to serve them but to ensure that they are happy with your service.
Clients are the lifeblood of every business as they are the ones who bring us the money we need to build the dreams we hold so dear. Not focusing on making them happy is disastrous not only to our business but to our dreams, ideas, and the legacy we want to build and leave behind.
